San Fernando Valley Boudoir Photography Session with the Gorgeous Angel!
Working with the gorgeous Angel @angelarlene26 for my most recent Boudoir Photography Session in the San Fernando Valley was an absolute blast! I spend a lot of time planning each Boudoir Photography Session out to make sure what I capture in the camera is in alignment with the spirit of each model/client. Now, this doesn't mean we should get pictures based on how you normally dress, etc., or do what you've always done. A Boudoir Photography Session is a great opportunity to break free and express all the different sides of you, including the parts that don't come out to play too often.
Angel was down for just about anything, which made our session super fun. We got to experiment with a few of different ideas. When I found out she was a Stephen King fan, I was excited to incorporate that into our session. She is a true Fire Starter! It's not Stephen King's scariest book, but as we near Halloween, it does seem like a great time to show off the image.
Angel also got to unleash multiple sides of herself and play both the Dominant and the Submissive at the same time. She is the only one featured in all the images below.
We had so many ideas planned, many of which we never even got to, because we ran out of time. I love collaborating with models/clients and coming up with different concepts. Hopefully, I will get another chance to work with Angel, as we had many ideas that never made it to light.
Angel is also known as Pearl Reckless, a badass Roller Derby superstar. Roller Derby Boudoir! So, we made sure to get some shots with her Roller Derby Skates.

How old were you when you did your session?
39 years old.
What made you decide to do a Boudoir session?
I had done some photo sessions in the past but wanted to try one that showed more of my personality.
What were you most nervous about for your session?
My body! Not knowing how to actually pose for a picture...
How did you feel after seeing your photos?
I was really excited to see how different I could look from my usual day to day jeans, sweater and ponytail look lol!
What was your favorite part of the session?
The energy and excitement that Cowen had for all of my ideas and his own ideas he dreamed up based of my sometimes very vague suggestions.
What would you tell someone who’s interested in doing a Boudoir session of their own, but still not sure?
Just do it. Everyone should have the opportunity to feel special, beautiful, hot or silly!
Would you do another Boudoir Photography Session?
Yep.
What was it like working with Cowen?
Cowen was very excited and energetic! We had a very thorough talk about my ideas, hopes and general interests and hobbies so he could know exactly the look and feel I wanted. I was very concerned about my body, my face. My general inability to pose naturally. He gave me plenty of assurance and helped me with every pose!
